Honestly, some real talk, y'all: referring to Elon Musk as "Elmo" has got to stop. It isnt fair and it is dragging a good person's name through the mud.

Elmo clearly is a caring, curious, diligent, and thoughtful Muppet. It doesn't deserve to be compared to the manchild running Twitter.

Trying to decide who I get more emails from, the New York Times now that I've canceled my subscription, or Duolingo when I haven't practiced in a few days...

What a pathetic, cowardly, Vichy thing for Scholastic to even consider in the dark depths of their own sad minds, let alone say out loud to a woman of color in 2023.

Hozier is coming to the Anthem in DC!! Tickets went on sale 13 minutes ago! They're already sold out.

But hey, scalpers already have some up on SeatGeek for $100 over face value.

@older Shame on you for not making TMoKS longer! I inhaled it in an evening and want more! :)

Honestly, thank you for sharing it with us, though. It was lovely.

Today we call the regular output of a computer program to a text file a "log" because at least as far back as the 15th Century sailors would record the speed of a ship by tossing an actual piece of tree with a rope tied to it overboard and counting how many of the knots tied at regular intervals in the rope went through their hands before the log traveled the length of the ship. (Also the source for "knots" as a measurement of speed).

They then recorded this information (along with others) regularly in a book, so they could try to determine their longitude before there were accurate clocks available. This book became known as the "ship's log".

Fuck every last scared pathetic democrat in the Senate that voted to overturn DC's new criminal code. Your commitment to DC self-government is obviously just as shallow as is your interest in real criminal justice reform. Same goes for you, President Biden!

When we were advocating for moving away from SMS second factor auth, this isn't exactly what we meant...

Can we stop for a second and admire how absolutely batshit insane it is that Tesla was even allowed to publicly release self-driving car software that they themselves labeled as "beta"? Like, there are just some places that you can't put beta stuff into production.

Early access: OK for games, not for multi-ton speeding death machines!
